BINOCULAR VISION
IN KLEINBURG VAUGHAN
Learn how your eyes and brain work together to improve your quality of life.

Binocular vision assessments evaluate binocular vision and visual perceptual skills that can impact people of all ages. Binocular vision skills are how the eyes work together as a team, while visual perceptual skills are how the brain understands what the eyes see. Sometimes there can be a mismatch in the communication between the eyes and the brain, which leads to visual symptoms negatively impacting one's ability to learn and work, or quality of life.
Patients of all ages with the following conditions would benefit from a binocular vision assessment:

What to Expect in the Two-Hour Binocular Vision Assessment
Our binocular vision assessment is an in-depth evaluation designed to uncover how your (or your child’s) eyes work together as a team. This is not a routine eye exam—it’s a comprehensive look at how vision functions to support reading, learning, attention, and comfort in everyday life. Your two-hour visit includes:
1. Thorough Case Review: Comprehensive case history and symptom survey to guide personalized testing and uncover root concerns.
2. Visual Function Testing: Assessment of clarity, eye movements, alignment, depth perception, focusing, eye teaming, and refractive error.
3. Specialized Testing: Evaluation of functional lens performance, prisms, tints, and phototherapy.
4. Visual Information Processing Testing: Age-specific visual processing tests—such as DEM, MVPT-4, and primitive reflex screening—to assess how the brain makes sense of what the eyes see.

5. Review of Results & Personalized Plan: Discuss results with Q&A, personalized prescription if needed, and detailed report with treatment recommendations.
6. Complementary Follow-up: An appointment 2 months after your initial assessment to monitor progress or lens effectiveness.
