Northern Sight Optometry is a full-scope optometry office and boutique optical within the beautiful growing neighbourhoods of Kleinburg and Vaughan. Our office provides comprehensive and specialty services for the entire family.

​

We carry unique hand-crafted eyewear, medical-based products to treat ocular conditions, and provide therapy for those with visual challenges affecting learning abilities or daily activities.

Our team focus is towards creating long-lasting connections with our patients, education on wholistic wellness and ocular health, and supporting local businesses within the community.

Meet Our Team

Dr. Amrit Bilkhu

Amrit Bilkhu, OD, FAAO, FOVDR

Optometrist, Owner

Dr. Bilkhu lives in Vaughan and takes pride in serving her community. She has extensive knowledge and training in managing patients with vision-related learning challenges, developmental delays, behavioural conditions, and concussion-related vision syndrome. Dr. Bilkhu is an advocate for these patients, and works hard to provide vision therapy and rehabilitative programs, neuro-functional lenses, phototherapy, and reports for accommodations, to help her patients achieve their best visual performance.

Dr. Bilkhu serves on the Board for Vision Therapy Canada, and is a proud member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. After clinical hours, Dr. Bilkhu writes articles for optometry blogs and shares her knowledge on her professional social media page. She is also the creator and co-host of the popular optometry podcast Four Eyes.

Dr. Manraj Fervaha

Manraj Fervaha, OD

Optometrist, Owner

Dr. Fervaha was raised in Woodbridge and takes pride in providing eye care services to his local community, fostering long-lasting relationships with his patients. He has an unwavering passion for the field and places high value on patient education and preventative care. Dr. Fervaha practices with a strong interest in ocular disease management, with a particular focus on glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, and myopia. He also has extensive experience in surgical co-management.

​

Dr. Fervaha is a proud member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and is in good standing with the College of Optometrists on Ontario. He is also the clinical director of Optometry at MedCan. Dr. Fervaha communicates fluently in English and Punjabi and has become a trusted healthcare provider to those seeking to proactively manage their eye health. In his free time, Dr. Fervaha loves embarking on new adventures with his wife, indulges in his passion for basketball, and experiments with new cooking recipes.

Katie Anastasakis

Optometric Technician & Frame Stylist

For years, Katie has been an integral part of the optometry setting, providing exceptional care and assistance to patients. Her responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including frame styling, pre-testing, taking retinal photos, performing visual fields, and managing all receptionist duties.

 

In addition to her optometry experience, Katie has worked at Brampton Civic Hospital, showcasing her versatility in different healthcare settings. Additionally, she completed a Medical Terminology program, further expanding her understanding of the medical field. Lastly, Katie has a passion for interior design. Her eye for design makes her an exceptional frame stylist as she pays close attention to details, colour schemes, shapes and sizes when it comes to selecting eyewear!

​

Aside from being energetic and adventurous, Katie's most endearing quality is her ability to connect with patients by adding humour to patient interactions, making them feel welcomed and comfortable throughout their visit.

Susan Salvatore

Optometric Technician & Administration

Susan was born and raised in Woodbridge, and is now a proud resident of Kleinburg. Helping her community is what gives Susan joy on a daily basis. Susan is a certified Medical Laboratory Technician and a long-time Medical Assistant. She has worked in the medical field for the majority of her career, so maintaining great patient relationships is her top priority! Susan does an excellent job multitasking at Northern Sight Optometry as our receptionist and administrative assistant, as well as pre-testing, taking retinal photos, and performing visual fields.

 

As a wife and mother, Susan believes it is important to have people around you who genuinely care about you and your family's needs. That's why Susan's main focus at Northern Sight Optometry is to make sure each patient feels welcomed and comfortable from the moment they enter our office!
