Patient Care Coordinator
Part-Time | Minimum 35 hours/week | Monday to Saturday availability required Expected Start Date: Monday, July 13th, 2026 Starting Wage: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience Northern Sight Optometry is a growing family eye care practice looking for a warm, organized, and motivated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, creating a positive patient experience, and being part of a supportive healthcare team. As one of the first and last points of contact for our patients, you’ll play an important role in helping the clinic run smoothly while making patients feel welcomed and cared for. Your responsibilities will include: - Greeting and checking in patients - Answering phone calls, emails, and voicemails - Booking, confirming, and managing appointments - Supporting patient flow throughout the clinic - Performing pretest procedures including auto-refraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, OCT scans, and visual fields - Processing payments and assisting with insurance claims - Managing recalls and follow-up communication - Assisting with contact lens orders and patient inquiries - Supporting the optical team with patient handoffs - Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment The ideal candidate is: - Friendly, professional, and patient-focused - Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented - Comfortable communicating in person, over the phone, and by email - Confident using computers and learning new software - Able to multitask in a busy healthcare setting - A positive team player who is motivated to learn Previous experience in a medical, dental, optometry, or healthcare setting is welcomed, but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills and excellent computer skills are required. Experience in a vision therapy setting is considered a bonus.
